What the site holds
The Top 500 ranks US eyelid surgeons by one published method; every state and DC has its own page ranking its top 100, and cities with 10 or more listed surgeons have a city page. The procedure pages cover upper and lower blepharoplasty, droopy eyelids and ptosis, double eyelid surgery, brow lift, and eye shape and lid position, each with a PubMed link on every claim. The cost page collects published prices and Medicare's payment for each operation. The insurance page lays out the coverage rule by state. The journal holds the PubMed eyelid record, sorted by topic and year.
Where the data comes from
- Surgeon billing: CMS, Medicare Physician & Other Practitioners by Provider and Service, 2022 to 2024.
- Surgeon records: the NPPES NPI Registry, for specialty and taxonomy.
- Research: PubMed, read through the NCBI E-utilities service. One query per eyelid pillar covers blepharoplasty, ptosis, the lower lid, double eyelid surgery, brow lift and lid position, in the title or abstract. Last read 2026-09-30.
- Surgeon pages: each practice's own website, read for an eyelid page and an eyelid before-and-after gallery. The method is on the methodology page.
How the site is updated
Once a month the site reads Medicare's latest provider file and PubMed for new eyelid papers, and rebuilds the scores and the record. Records can be corrected between updates through the contact page.

blepharoplasty.pro is published by Medical Advertising Agency, a marketing firm for surgeons. Featured surgeons pay to appear above the Top 500 and the state and city lists, in a labeled band.
