Eyelid surgery work

• Lower blepharoplasty. Removes excess skin and fat from the lower eyelids; described as addressing under-eye bags, tear troughs and fine lines (lower-blepharoplasty).

The surgery-cost page states that some eyelid surgeries are categorized as cosmetic and may not be covered, while upper eyelid surgery and brow lift may be medically necessary and insurance-eligible when they obstruct vision (surgery-cost). No dollar prices are published for any eyelid procedure; the cost page and the upper blepharoplasty page both direct patients to a consultation for a personalized quote.

Recovery statements, upper blepharoplasty page: stitches usually removed within the first week; swelling and bruising begin to subside around 7-10 days; most patients return to non-strenuous activity within the first week; residual swelling fades within a few months. The droopy eyelid surgery page separately states mild swelling and bruising usually subside within the first week, and most patients return to non-strenuous activities within 10-14 days.
