Insurance and cost

Eyelid surgery page: "Insurance may even cover your reconstructive eyelid surgery"; billed under medical insurance rather than vision insurance, and the patient is responsible for confirming network status (eyelid-surgery). Ptosis page: surgery may be covered when it affects vision, confirmed by visual field testing; in children it is "never cosmetic" and typically covered (eyelid-ptosis). No prices are published.

Recovery, per the eyelid surgery page: patients feel comfortable facing the public after 7-10 days, resume normal activities within two weeks, some bruising persists into the second week, and vigorous exercise should wait about three weeks. Per the ptosis page, most patients return to work 7-14 days after surgery, depending on the procedure and occupation.
