How the Top 500 is scored
Every eyelid surgeon in the record is checked the same way, from Medicare billing, PubMed, the NPI Registry and the surgeon's own practice site. A candidate becomes listed with evidence of eyelid surgery and a page that names them; a listed surgeon is ranked when that page is their own practice site. Data read 2026-09-30.
Candidates
A candidate starts from two public registers and is narrowed by a web search and a site read. Every candidate is checked the same way, in this order.

Who is listed
- Practice in one of the 50 states or DC.
- Evidence of eyelid surgery: Medicare eyelid billing from 2022 to 2024, an eyelid page or eyelid before-and-after gallery on the practice site, or 3 or more eyelid papers tied to a practice or hospital page.
- A page that names the surgeon: their own practice site, or a hospital or university profile.
A listed surgeon appears on their state page and, at 10 or more listed surgeons, their city page.
Who is ranked
The Top 500 is the 500 highest-scored listed surgeons whose page is their own practice site. A hospital, university or directory page does not qualify for ranking; a surgeon with only that kind of page stays on their state and city lists, unranked.

Medicare pays for eyelid surgery only when the lids block vision, so Medicare volume measures the medical side of the work. Surgeons who operate for appearance alone score instead on training, research and the eyelid work their practice publishes.
Editorial adjustment
An editor can add or remove points from a computed score, recorded by surgeon in the site's editorial file with a reason. A surgeon's dossier states when an adjustment has been made. Ties break on Medicare eyelid volume, then on eyelid papers.
Featured surgeons
Featured surgeons pay to appear above the Top 500 and the state and city lists, in a labeled band. A featured position does not change a surgeon's score or rank: every surgeon, featured or not, is scored by the method on the methodology page. blepharoplasty.pro is published by Medical Advertising Agency, a marketing firm for surgeons; a featured surgeon may be its client (FTC 16 CFR Part 255). No surgeon is featured as of 2026-09-30.
What the score does not measure
The score reads public records: Medicare billing, PubMed, the NPI Registry, meeting programs and the practice website. It does not measure complication rates, patient satisfaction or the result any one patient will get. A surgeon with a strong record here can still be the wrong fit for one patient's eyes, and a surgeon who scores lower can still be an excellent fit. Use the list to find surgeons worth researching further, and judge results from a consultation and the practice's own before-and-after photographs.

Scores come from public records on the date shown above. Nothing on this page or on a surgeon's record is a medical recommendation. A surgeon can correct a record through the contact page with a public source: a board lookup, a CMS or NPI record, a PubMed listing or the practice website. Records change at the next monthly update.
