Eyelid surgery work

• Upper blepharoplasty. Removes excess skin and fat through an incision in the natural eyelid crease (blepharoplasty-eyelid-surgery).
• Lower blepharoplasty. Fat removed or repositioned through a transconjunctival (inside-the-lid) incision; excess skin removed through an incision beneath the lashes when present (same page).
• Ptosis repair. Detaches and reattaches the levator aponeurosis to widen the upper eyelid opening; can be done from the eyelid's undersurface with no visible scar, or from the front if combined with blepharoplasty; a frontalis sling is used if the muscle is too weak (eyelid-ptosis-repair).
• Ectropion repair. Tightening of the lower eyelid, sometimes with a skin graft, for outward-turning lids (ectropion-repair).
• Entropion repair. Tightening and repositioning of lower eyelid muscles, with grafts for extensive scarring, for inward-turning lids (entropion-repair).
